GESCO Group started its training and career development activities as of January 1995 for the petroleum and industrial sectors in Egypt and other countries in the Middle East.

GESCO Group Training Center’s team has vast experience in training locally and abroad as well as professionals in designing, preparing and implementing training programs.

GESCO Group Instructional Programs are offered in three modes :

1. Multi-Company Courses are well suited to individuals who need specialized or locally available training. Our courses have exercise, discussion sessions and workshops, therefore, attendees will find them to be excellent forms for exchange of ideas and learning new concepts.

2. Special Courses conducted in house or on site which the individual companies contract for their own employees .Courses can be modified to accommodate the company's particular needs, or tailor-made according to the clients' requirements.

3. On-the-job Training is conducted on site which the individual companies contract for their field employees .Courses are tailor-made according to the clients' requirements.

GESCO Group Training Department has recently been Awarded by Belayim Petroleum Company ( PETROBEL) , a Joint Venture Company -an affiliate of AGIP and EGPC- ( 16 ) Technical Training Courses to be conducted during the year 2005 ( Letter of Award Dated November 28,2004 attached hereto ).
 
 

3.1. Project for Holders of Intermediate Diploma and/ or Holders of Technical High Diploma ( EGPC Project )
GESCO Group had been selected by Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation ( EGPC ) , together with other reputable training centers to run a training project for 10,000 (ten thousand) individuals holders of intermediate diploma and /or holders of technical high diploma to be qualified to work in the future in Oil Sector Companies in Egypt or other Arab Countries.
 
GESCO Group trained 2325 individuals for a period of two years. The program covered basic studies for a period of six months, technical studies for another six months and one year on-the-job training in the work locations (in the field) of the various petroleum companies.

3.2 SEGAS LNG Training Program
Spanish Egyptian Gas Company S.A.E established a training program, objective of which is to have available staff well trained at the time of plant pre-commissioning, commissioning start-up and normal operations and maintenance.
 
GESCO and the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology ( NAIT ) have formed a Consortium led by GESCO to provide SEGAS with a top notch training services that shall join the world class global training capabilities and expertise of NAIT with the strong local presence of GESCO and their very rich recent experience in Career development programs of EGPC personnel in different rural areas of Egypt , hence the availability of the specific know how , training methodology and course material to suit those level of trainees .
 
Training was divided into three stages, Phase 1 or basic courses, Phase 2 or LNG background courses and Phase 3 or specialized plant courses.
 
GESCO Group had been awarded Phase 1 and Phase 2, which had finally been completed at SEGAS Training Center in New Damietta, Egypt by March 2004.

Drilling Rig Mechanics Maintenance Program for Arab Drilling & Workers Company ( ADWOC ) 

The Program Comprised ( Nine ) Modules for a period of 45 Days and was by attended by ( 6 ) participants, at GESCO Training Center in Maadi, Egypt.

GESCO Group Conducts Certified Courses, successful candidates are awarded International Certificates.
 
Fields of Training are :
 
1. International Well Control Forum Certification ( IWCF)
This course is conducted at GESCO Training Center in Egypt ,which had been approved and registered as an IWCF assessment center in Egypt, Certified IWCF instructors from Europe instruct the course on an approved portable simulator. Two written tests in Drilling Equipment and Principle and Procedures are prepared in the U.K. and received in closed envelopes ,through the British Council in Egypt, to be given to participants. Those who pass are awarded an international certificate valid for two years in order to be admitted to work on drilling rigs.
 
The course was conducted in Cairo during August 2001and attended by ( 12 ) participants from two joint venture petroleum companies. ( Badr-El-Din "Shell" and Qarun "Apachi".
 
2. Non Destructive Testing International Certificates (NDT):
· Ultra-Sonic Testing Levels I & II
· Magnetic Particle Testing Level II
· Liquid Penetrate Testing
· Radio Graphic Testing
 
Participants from Arab Drilling and Workover Company ( ADWOC ) attended the above courses and had been awarded international certificates by an instructor who is internationally qualified to award qualification certificates in accordance with the international SNT-TC-1 A program to candidates who pass the examination with an average result of 80 % or greater.
 
3. Defensive Driving
Drivers Carrying Driving license 3&4 are trained on heavy duty trucks, Mobile Cranes & Forklifts. Upon completion of this training candidates receive international certificates from German Loyds with whom GESCO has an agreement to this effect.
 
 

GESCO Group Conducted the following Training Courses Overseas :
 

GESCO Group implemented a practical training program for (96) engineers & senior technicians working for Qarun Petroleum Company ( Apachi ) in the areas of Mechanical & Electrical Maintenance, Automatic Control and Production Facilities. The course lasted for a period of two months . Other petroleum companies are interested in this type of training which we are ready to perform as soon as requested.

GESCO Group presented an integrated career development system program for Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation ( EGPC ) to be implemented for EGPC personnel prior to its  implementation in the Oil Sector Companies. The system is composed of five main phases :

3. Development and Review of Career Development Plans
4. Curriculum Development and Training Implementation
5. Evaluation and Continuous Improvement
